    Why We Made the Hot Lap Short

    As the female co-founder of HANDUP, Jamie wanted a riding short that wasn't your typical long inseam riding short. Something short enough to look normal if wearing it casually, but also long enough to provide some "rubbing" protection on the bike.

    With hidden zipper front pockets and all four pockets being deep enough to hold a large cell phone, these shorts struck that perfect balance between form and function. As Jamie says, "Great for those afternoon Hot Laps!"
    Crash Replacement

    Hey, we’ve all crashed and torn up our gear. If a crash caused the issue, we have a crash replacement program. Just send us an email on our Returns and Exchanges page and we'll get you taken care of.
    Warranty

    All HANDUP products come with a warranty that carries up to 1-year from the original purchase dates for defects not caused by regular wear and tear.

    Absolutely love them.

    Bought the black and dusty rose shorts, and am super stoked about the purchase! They’re thicker and stretchy but not too thick. I think they’ll hold up really well when I start shredding up trails when the weather gets warmer. The length is perfect. And the quick drying feature is a huge plus for the swassy hot summers. I’m 5’3 and the length is good. I can wear them sitting lower or higher on my hips and am comfortable either way. Would love to see Handup come out with more color options, and/or even a women’s fit AT+ pants! Side note- I own a pair of AT men’s pants from a few years back, and I do like them, but the material, fit, and mobility doesn’t compare to the AT+ fit!

    New favorite shorts

    The Women's Hot Lap short are my new favorite shorts for everything! The material is a nice mid weight with good stretch. My phone fits safely in both the front and back pockets and I love having the security of the zippers to keep everything in place.
    The 7" inseam is flattering and comfortable for low key riding and every day wear.
    I'm 5' 9", waist 29, hips 42 and ordered a 8/10 that fit well in the hips and thighs with a pretty good waist fit without too much gapping.
    Will definitely be adding more Hot Lap shorts to my wardrobe!

    Great Shorts

    Good but previous pair better.

    Hand up builds great apparel! This pair not quite up to par. No waistband cinch and would require a belt if not perfectly fitted. The zip pockets also have a funny poof.
